Look for the original first
- Check your own brand folder and design deliveries.
- Look for the original attachment in email or a shared folder.
- Ask the person who made your logo for a flat original file.
- If you own the website, check its uploaded logo assets.
- Keep the screenshot only when no better owned source is available.
An original export may have details the screen capture no longer shows. Keep a note of where the chosen source came from so later corrections can refer to it.
Check the logo inside the screenshot
Ordinary enlargement does not recreate missing original detail.

Imagine a 2000 pixel wide screenshot containing a logo only 240 pixels wide. The larger screenshot number does not make the logo a 2000 pixel source. This is a planning example.
| Part | Question |
|---|---|
| Name | Can you identify each letter without guessing? |
| Tagline | Is the small line readable? |
| Dots and accents | Are all intended marks visible? |
| Symbol edge | Is the full shape present? |
| Surface | Is it a flat view or a curved or tilted mockup? |
Zooming can help you inspect, but a larger view is not new evidence. Write down anything you cannot read.
Choose one complete mark
Keep the symbol, name, tagline and marks in one selection. Leave a little room around the outside so small details are not cut. Leave browser controls, arrows and unrelated pictures outside.
LogoTidy accepts JPG, PNG and PDF source files.

Keep the full screenshot as a reference too. If the crop is only one part of a larger board, label which concept you chose. Do not mix lettering from one idea with a symbol from another.
Check the source size rule before starting
LogoTidy selected sources below 1024 pixels on the longest edge use the paid upscale path.
Sources for this point: LogoTidy trial and credit guide.
That path uses twice the normal processing credits and is outside the standard free cleanup trial. The selected crop matters, even if the full screenshot is large. Check current pricing before starting.
Check source processing and trial terms
A larger delivered image still needs a comparison with the source. Do not assume the upscale step can settle a word that was never readable.
If the details are already missing
Ask for a better original or describe a specific correction using confirmed facts. If the intended letter is uncertain, ask the owner rather than let the image decide the spelling.
- Keep the exact name and tagline in plain text.
- Mark which detail is unclear in the capture.
- Record any chosen design change separately from source cleanup.
- Compare the prepared choice before using its files.
You have a useful starting source when the complete chosen mark is documented, the words are confirmed and unresolved details are named. If those facts are missing, gather them before approval.
