Arabic lettering and production

Prepare Arabic logos with attention to every letter.

A practical checklist for Arabic logo cleanup: letter connections, dots, diacritics, reading direction, and vector export review.

Small details can change the name

Arabic lettering needs more than a smooth outline. Dots, diacritics, connected forms, and intentional gaps can change what a word says. Supply the exact brand spelling and include all visible marks when selecting your source.

What to check on your source and preview

Check the artwork at its intended small size as well as enlarged. A detail that survives a large preview may disappear in a favicon or small header.

  • All dots and vowel marks are present and in the right place.
  • Letter connections and naturally disconnected letters match the original.
  • The reading order is correct, including mixed Arabic and Latin text.
  • Small enclosed spaces remain open and strokes have not merged.

An example: a bilingual wordmark with a small tagline

Select both language lines and the complete tagline, then choose the bilingual language option. Review each line against the spelling you supplied. Keep enough clearance around dots above and below the lettering. Do not crop closely to the tallest visible stroke and accidentally remove a lower mark.

Custom calligraphy and font-based lettering are different

Cleanup preserves the shapes of your supplied artwork. It does not replace custom calligraphy with a font. For a new font-based wordmark, LogoTidy offers a precise lettering option shaped with HarfBuzz using supported fonts. Choose that option for new typography, and still review the final spelling and layout.

Export and inspect before production

Use SVG or vector PDF for scalable production artwork and PNG for everyday screen use. Check the dark and light variants separately. If a dot, letter, or connection changed during processing, request a free correction to the platform mistake before approving and downloading.
